02 Ethical standards

Basic philosophy

  1. Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings endeavors to become a company trusted and respected by our customers on the basis of the righteous management of complying with the basics and abiding by the principles.
  2. Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings shall achieve growth and advancement together with interested parties by establishing a company that customers want to trade with and that employees want to work for by executing the social responsibilities of the company through the settlement of the ethical corporate culture internally and through fair competition and ethical management externally.

Basic ethics of the staffs and executives

  1. Have pride and self-esteem as a member of Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings, and approach the tasks with honest and fair attitude at all times.
  2. Do not engage in manner of speaking and behaviors that can damage the honor of the company.
  3. Strictly maintain the confidentiality of the confidential information acquired in the course of executing duties not only during the period of employment but also after resignation or retirement.
  4. Do not engage in non-ethical and illegal actions that can be denounced by the company and the society in relations to the daily life activities and duties at work.
  5. Settle in mature corporate culture by respecting the private lives of individuals and on the basis of mutual trust and understanding.

Customer satisfaction and customer-oriented

Put efforts to think and act from the viewpoint of the customers, respect the opinions of the customers and provide services that offer satisfaction and emotional fulfillment to the customers by putting the foremost priority on the values of the customers in management and perceiving the progress of the customers as the progresses of the company.

Fair competition and transactions

  1. All the constituent members shall approach transactions in fair and square methods and comply with the principles of well-intentioned competition.
  2. Put efforts to ensure that all transactions are executed justifiably and fairly through establishment of mutually equivalent positions of the interested parties in accordance with the principles of free competition.
  3. Do not engage in the activities of acquiring the key information and confidential business information of the competitor through unfair method, do not infringe the benefits of the competitors and do not slander the competitors.
  4. Respect the business activities and customs of all companies including the competitors, and execute transactions in legal method in accordance with the relevant laws.
  5. Grant equal opportunities to all companies wishing to transact with our company, evaluate them fairly and do not exercise unfair coercion or influence by using the superior status of our company.
  6. All the parties of the transactions shall established transparent transaction order by accomplishing joint progresses on the basis of mutual trust.
  7. Do not provide or receive unjust benefits or profits by means of special relationship including blood relationship, regionalism and school ties.
  8. Pursue joint progresses through the assertive provision of support for the growth of the cooperative companies as our management partner.

Social responsibilities and obligations

  1. Comply with the law for rational and ethical execution of businesses and healthy growth of the company, and make contributions towards social progresses.
  2. Fulfill the responsibilities and obligations of the company as a trusted corporation by assertively participating in social contribution activities including social voluntary services and aid activities, etc.
  3. Make contributions towards the advancement of the nation and society by sincerely fulfilling the obligation for the payment of taxes and dues.
  4. Respect the industrial progresses and traditional cultures as well as put efforts towards joint prosperity and progresses of the local society.
  5. Develop assertive activities for the preservation and prevention of pollution of the environment by complying with environment related laws.
